Q: How do I know if LifeDesign is right for me?

A: If you're looking for a tool to help you manage your life more effectively, LifeDesign is right for you. If you're looking for a magic bullet or expert advice on how to live your life, LifeDesign is not for you.

Q: What is the LifeDesign process?

A: It's a way of approaching life—recognizing that you always have choices and that you are capable of making good choices. Learning the LifeDesign process includes a careful review of how you got to your current state, where you are, where you want to go and how you can get there.

Q: I'm having trouble completing the workbook. What should I do?

A: One of the best ways to help you get "un-stuck" is to simply put it down for a while. Getting away often helps clear your mind of the block. If that doesn't do it, email us at help@lifedesign101.com and tell us where you are in the workbook and why you think you're stuck.

Q: How do I know if I should be an Associate?

A: There are many reasons why you might want to become an associate, but here are my top 3:

  1. To increase your own ability to live life to the fullest.
  2. To help others do the same.
  3. To join with others of us who are committed to living well and making a positive difference in the world.

Q: How do I get started as a LifeDesign Associate?

A: It depends on your goals and your past experience with this kind of material. In any case the first step is to order your LifeDesign Associate Package. Work through the LifeDesign workbook and study the "How-To" Guide carefully. If you're an experienced workshop facilitator, you may proceed to organize a LifeDesign workshop. If you have no facilitation experience or simply don't want to run workshops, you might begin to identify people you know who can benefit from LifeDesign. Talk to a few of them about LifeDesign to check their interest and to practice your skills at describing the LifeDesign process. The specific way you choose to share LifeDesign with others is up to you.

Q: How can I introduce others to LifeDesign?

A: One excellent way is to have them fill out the free Quality of Life Checkup. Another is to conduct a workshop. Another is to invite them to visit LifeDesign and read for themselves. All of these are good choices but probably nothing will have more impact than you sharing your experience with them. As they see you living your life out of choice rather than chance, they will want to experience it for themselves.

Q: I would like to work through LifeDesign with my wife, but she's not interested. Should I do it on my own?

A: It certainly would be a plus if she wanted to do LifeDesign with you. It gives you the opportunity to get clarity about the life you want to create together and to agree on how you're going to move toward it. However, you can still gain significant benefit from doing it alone. You make many choices every day that affect your quality of life. Some of these choices are independent of your wife and can be changed without regard to her.

Q: I'm in my late 60's. What good would LifeDesign do me?

A: LifeDesign can help you get the most out of every day—regardless of your age. None of us knows how long we have to live, but you could make a case that the older you are, the more important it is to live life to the fullest—according to your values and your priorities.
